About Us

Camp Oshkidee is a non-profit, registered charitable organization whose mission is to provide all campers with the best camping experience of their lives.  Campers will experience excellent facilities and equipment, highly qualified and caring staff, as well as sound Bible-based teaching and mentoring such that all campers grow in their knowledge of and relationship with God.

The Board of Directors endeavours to do this through the building, maintaining and operating of a camping facility, which is made available for Camps and rentals. The Oshkidee Board operates four weeks of Family Camp ministry during the month of July and the Camp Oshkidee Children & Youth Ministry during the month of August. The Christian Medical & Dental Society (CMDS) leases Oshkidee for it's annual Family Camp as well.

An independent, interdenominational evangelical Board of Directors serves to exercise good stewardship and employ wise management of the site; including the buildings and the natural setting. Located on the north end of Jeanette Lake, the "Caribbean of the North", known for the crystal clear water, Oshkidee has for years set the standard for institutional camping facilities and site planning. Oshkidee is regularly leased by church groups for retreats and individual families for weekend, or weeklong gatherings.

While operating costs are fully recovered through lease and Family Camp revenue, maintenance and capital development projects are funded through the generous gifts of Oshkidee supporters. You can make donation today through Canada Helps. We know that the positive, long-term effects of the Oshkidee ministry can never be fully known. We'll never know the full extent of the Oshkidee impact on the life of a family. Consequently, the Board is committed to a long term strategy to ensure the ongoing financial health of Oshkidee.
